But when, for example, the speaker says, "You're safe now, relax" or some conforting phrase, I remember those without safety or comfort, or any hope of it. 😓
Every aspect of my life and my heart has been broken by what we have seen. I knew that the occupying force was evil - I have been to Palestine and seen it with my own eyes 20 years ago. Much, much worse now, of course.
But the last 3 1/2 years... I have no words. I feel paralysed and have done little apart from sharing posts here. And I feel angry, frustrated that still so many friends I know don't see it or equivocate.
My heart bleeds for these innocent children and for their grieving remaining families, I hope for a free Palestine and a just world that holds the ones responsible to account
Everyone should read , listen and look at images of all the innocents destroyed by Israel. I know people are coming to the point where Israel is hated, but where is the rescuing of Palestinians? Why is the UN so reluctant or unable to provide some relief to this crisis? Israel is a monster who must be slayed.
End every USA ('Defense agreement') imperialist annexation agreement with your nation.
Apart from enabling this gen0c1de, the USA have also enabled, arranged, or directly performed hundreds of war crimes inside and outside of Palestine during Israel's proto-gen0c1de phase of 1948-2023, and appear likely to dominate every other Nation, given half a chance.
These Nations have both operated frequently war criminal governments since the 1940s, initially covertly, now openly. The correct response to this is to minimize relations with these recidivist violators, and arrange for their war crime trials in the Hague (or elsewhere).
To make things even more protected, I suggest furthering trade and defense alliances between all middle and small Nations and reducing ties with (current and emerging) Military Industrial Complexes. Current imperialist systems can only keep failing humanity in ever worse atrocities.
I wept reading this and I of course there's no scale to horror but Hind Rajab just hits me knowing she was on the phone she was alone and they hunted her and her aid givers is a monstrosity I can't reconcile. Those paramedics were beyond brave I can't imagine doing that they had to know they would be targeted also and they went armed with first aid kits.
