If you live in north america, or europe, you can buy products from international or ethnic stores. A lot of them import goods from africa or Asia that are not affiliated with any big corporations. While it helps cut ties with big corps it's not envioronmently friendly though.

Thanks, good read. I myself need the lazy boycotting style & can relate to many points made :) . It's an effort worth engaging in. A work in progress.

It has been very effective in various parts of the world where the community is intact.

For those interested in learning more, ambitious diet managers might also like to experiment by (slowly & safely) replacing increasing amounts of their highly processed edible goods with more minimally-processed vegetables, fruits, and nuts. This tends to benefit our digestive system, but every system is different, so go slow and pay attention to your body. Some might like to experiment with using more organic and/or locally-sourced (low transport pollution, high economic assistance) food. Local food systems include the potentially great (worker, supplier, member) cooperative stores (https://www.nimbinfoodcoop.org.au/), the vege box delivery systems (https://about.openfoodnetwork.org.au/project/box-scheme/) and the occasional (extraordinarily productive) community garden.

I realise how my supmarket buying has shrunk to almost 5% of overall spend. Feels delicious. Small local farmers whom I know, small concern that produces basic cleaning stuff, shampoo and body creams made by a woman who researched for 3 years ingredients that wouldn't give any allergic reaction to her skin. Stopped by a stall selling dates at a market, to ask suspiciously their origin (there is a huge farm in South Africa's northern Cape that grows them and is connected to Israel.)No. From a region I know and from where the stall holder comes. Phew! I now get so few chances to boycott!

Grow your own food, I promise it tastes way better. As a fellow lazy person I know it's a bit of a pain in the ass but worth it. Especially when those tomatoes are coming off the vine and on to your plate. Everyone talks about the fertilizer shortage. Good we don't need it. (Most are mining byproducts anyway) Instead use what God gave us, steer manure! It's cheaper and works way better. And can be sourced locally.

Thank you for the pointers. I'm always looking for ways to improve.

P. S. if you live in the desert like I do, shade screen is your best friend.

It can be difficult to boycott global companies. I’ve researched, stopped buying coffee from global chains and buy it from local traders I

I buy my books from independent book sellers.

I did use Amazon a great deal and now buy direct from traders website and not Amazon itself

Anything I have to buy in bulk ie cat food I do buy on Amazon

I call this baby steps

Alhamdulillah, it is much easier where I live (Northern Nigeria), for years I have been buying exclusively local brands with no outside affiliation.

Everything from detergent, soap, cleaning product, locally sourced coffee, rice, pasta, oil except olive oil which is from Lebanon)...and all the veggies and fruits straight from the farmers market.

People here are so industrious, lots of side hustles with people making snacks for sale in their own kitchen.

You have to be resourceful in order to live in my country.

Government isn't going to assist in any way, shape or form.

I'm grateful for living here.

In our local supermarket branch I even had the joy of seeing a Zionist Israeli woman being escorted off the property....for smoking inside the supermarket 🫩

That's the least of their crimes, nonetheless it was satisfying to see an immediate expulsion.

From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free 🤲🏽✊🏽🫂
