To anyone living under occupation or watching the daily broadcast of Zionist war crimes, this news is no surprise. The Mossad’s plot to reinstall former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has predictably collapsed.

A July 2026 leak from the Israeli press confirms the plot was not foiled by external resistance. It was dismissed as a pure fantasy by the Zionist “security” establishment from day one.

While orchestrating the ongoing genocide in Palestine and Lebanon, Netanyahu and Mossad Chief David Barnea believed they could casually dismantle another sovereign nation. Their plan was to arm Kurdish militias, march them into western Iran, and parachute Ahmadinejad into power.

The Mossad latched onto Ahmadinejad’s opposition to the Iranian government, deluding themselves that his frustration with sanctions made him vulnerable. They bankrolled his travel and housing, sending operatives to court him in Hungary. The obsession was so consuming that Barnea skipped a security consultation on the genocide in Gaza to fly to Budapest and meet him in 2024. They calculated his lingering popularity made him the perfect figurehead to install after a coup. It is the height of colonial arrogance to assume a former regional adversary would simply entrust his fate to the very entity bombing his nation.

According to the leaked reports, the Mossad dubbed this absurd scheme “Operation Puss in Boots.” Initiated in 2022, the plot reached its final stage when four Mossad agents extracted Ahmadinejad to a safe house in Tehran. Yet the plan collapsed from within after Ahmadinejad rejected their frantic rescue, abandoned the safe house, and reportedly ended up in the custody of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard. The very asset they sought to install had refused the occupation’s salvation.

The most telling detail is the panic this delusion caused within the occupation’s ranks. Its intelligence chiefs explicitly warned the plan was unfeasible. Major General Shlomi Binder and Brigadier General Ofir Mizrahi-Rosen documented its inevitable failure. National Security Adviser Tzachi Hanegbi refused to attend the meetings, calling the plot “science fiction” in the leaked assessments. Days before launch, the Zionist military’s Chief of Staff, Eyal Zamir, ordered it stopped.

Netanyahu and Barnea ignored their own experts, bypassing official votes to push forward anyway.

Unsurprisingly, the plot collapsed after Kurdish militias, well aware of how the U.S. historically abandons its proxies to be massacred, refused to move. According to U.S. reporting, CIA Director John Ratcliffe explicitly dismissed the scheme as a “farce,” and the invasion was canceled.

We already know the Zionist entity is a reckless settler-colonial project. But this leak shatters the Western myth of its intelligence infallibility. The apparatus committing apartheid and ethnic cleansing in Palestine applied this exact disposable logic to a sovereign nation thousands of miles away.

A project built on foundational violence cannot achieve stability; its leaders will only seek new wars to mask their illegitimacy. This failure changes nothing for Palestinians enduring genocide. It merely proves that the Zionist entity’s reliance on imperial backing is a fragile, failing strategy.

For years, I have listened to comrades in the liberation movement debate the tactics needed to dismantle fascism and colonialism. I respect the energy they bring, and these conversations are vital. But after three years of escalating genocide against my people, after witnessing the mass slaughter of my community and continuously mourning family and friends, something shifted in how I listen.

I no longer need to convince anyone that Israel will fall. I know it will, without a doubt, not just because our resistance is real and necessary, but because of what Israel does to the world. Every time the occupation murders children in agonizing ways, rapes Palestinian hostages on camera, kidnaps and assaults Europeans in international waters, or arrests Haredi settlers for refusing to enlist in the occupation’s army and then brags about it, every contradiction the Zionist state exposes is simply the symptom of a genocidal system collapsing under its own weight.

At the heart of this collapse is the lie that holds up compulsory military service in the occupation, the lie that force can be disguised as belonging and obedience sold as unity. The Zionist state calls it duty and frames serving in the occupation forces as the future of the Jewish nation, as if that future could be owned by a uniform when in reality it is built on shattered homes, stolen land, and the relentless erasure of Palestine’s Indigenous people.

I have seen the footage and heard the witness accounts. Israeli occupation forces grab young ultra-Orthodox men by their payos and drag them from beneath buses while mounted officers charge into crowds with their faces hidden behind black masks. Clouds of skunk spray burn skin and close throats until every breath becomes a struggle. The screams cutting through the air are the sound of the Israeli state enforcing “obedience” on its own Jewish settlers.

What stands out is not that this happens because it happens to Palestinians daily, but that it is happening to Jews in the name of Jewish safety. The colonial state claims to be a refuge born from centuries of persecution and the Holocaust. Yet the moment a Haredi settler refuses to enlist, not out of solidarity with Palestinians but to protect his insular religious world, the same machinery used in Palestinian neighborhoods is turned against him. His Judaism is only valuable if it serves the occupation. His body only matters if he is willing to kill Palestinians.

This reality is the beginning of the state’s undoing. It did not begin yesterday. It goes back to 1948 when Israel was founded on the Nakba. David Ben Gurion, chief architect of that ethnic cleansing of Palestinians, exempted four hundred yeshiva students under Torato Umanuto, the doctrine that full-time Torah study replaces military service. This was never about respecting faith but was a political calculation. Ben Gurion needed legitimacy, and post Holocaust religious scholars gave the colonial project a veneer of continuity. Over decades, that exemption grew into a privilege shielding hundreds of thousands of Haredi Jews, keeping Jewish settlers divided and making refusal seem impossible until it no longer was.

In June 2024, the Occupation’s Supreme Court ended the exemption and arrest warrants were issued for those who dare to defy the draft. When young Haredi settlers resisted, driven by theological objection rather than liberation or human rights, the state deployed water cannons, skunk spray, and batons. By mid 2026, tens of thousands of Haredi Jews blocked roads in protest. The violence eventually turned deadly when a fourteen-year-old boy was run over by a bus during a draft protest in Jerusalem, proving that the state’s machinery of control is just as lethal to its own settlers as it is to Palestinians. The response was always the same with more violence and more arrests, but coercion cannot manufacture consent. It cannot force a man to kill for a state that treats him as disposable the moment he says no.

The Haredim are not innocent in this. Their refusal is rooted in the same supremacist logic that built the Zionist state, just expressed through religious arrogance instead of military violence. Both embody Jewish supremacy, though in different forms. The Haredim preach theological superiority and separate themselves from the world while benefiting from the colonial project. The Zionist state turns Jewish identity into a weapon, actively persecuting, beating, and imprisoning its own Jews. The Haredim may withdraw, but Israel industrializes antisemitism. This is what Israeli society looks like when Jewish supremacy is normalized at every level.

This is why some people conflate Judaism with Zionism. Israel has forged this equation itself through propaganda and its claim to speak for all Jews, yet it persecutes them when their interests diverge from the state's agenda. By targeting religious Jews, the state has become the very thing it claims to shield them from.

Colonialism survives by normalizing violence and fracturing populations so some feel secure while others bleed. For more than seventy-eight years, the Haredi exemption managed this fracture. Now the refusal is shattering it as young ultra-Orthodox settlers learn what Palestinians have always known, that when you resist the occupation, the savagery of colonialism appears.

I protect my energy from endless strategic debates not because I doubt Israel’s dismantling but because I know it is dismantling itself. Every exposed contradiction and every arrested Haredi settler echoes the collapse of a system built on lies and sustained by violence. It was never a refuge and never about safety, but always about control, land, and the erasure of Palestinians.

I do not know this from theory but from a lifetime of watching a state commit genocide against my people while claiming to protect Jews. I know it because a system this fundamentally fractured cannot hold. The only question left is how much pain it will inflict before it finally falls.

1:21 AM Istanbul | Gaza in slow collapse

There is a dark corner in my heart I usually avoid, but tonight it has followed me here, dragging back July 13, 2014. I had just finished covering Israeli bombings in southern Gaza. It was Ramadan and my taxi driver and I were still fasting, but we felt more heartbreak than hunger or thirst.

My coverage started and ended with a massacre targeting the Kaware family. Nine members were annihilated, the grandmother was the sole survivor. When I arrived, she was in total shock. She told me that on her way to the supermarket, her phone rang. An Israeli soldier was on the other end, telling her the family had less than thirty minutes to evacuate the house.

The grandmother shouted frantically, her voice cracking with each scream. Her words didn’t reach her sons and grandchildren, but the terror in her voice did.

She described reaching the entrance door in seconds. Half a minute, maybe? The longest thirty seconds of her life. She saw their faces, etched with concern, gathering at the top of the stairwell. And then, the missiles struck, killing everyone who had gathered, and everyone who hadn’t.

It took thirty seconds, not minutes. It was a deliberate assassination, with one survivor spared to tell the world about Israel’s savagery.

Nine members of her family, her sons and her grandchildren, all gone. In the aftermath, she blamed herself: What if I had hurried? What if I had screamed louder? What if I had been inside with them? I wish I had been.

When that bloody day finally ended, the Maghrib Athan echoed louder than the roar of the zanana (warplanes). I knew that nothing I documented would stop this slaughter. The world didn’t care about the Kaware family’s final moments. But God, I did. I felt their pain crushing me. I needed to hold my children so desperately.

As I rushed home, my cameras slamming against my chest. They felt heavier than usual, carrying nothing compared to the weight pressing down on my ribs. The street to our building was blocked, a house had been struck and collapsed, taking a mother and her two babies with it. Even now, their screams live behind my eyes and echo through my sleep.

I dropped everything and ran up the stairs to our second floor apartment. The climb had never felt longer. I used my phone’s flashlight to look for my children. When I reached the door, the power was out.

My eldest, two and a half years old, was in her grandmother’s lap. My youngest daughter, one year old, was soaked in her own blood. I saw her soft pink baby blanket first, crumpled in the corner, dark stains visible across the fabric. I reached out, running my fingertips across it, then looked at my hand, covered in deep red. I turned and saw her on the other side of the room. Blood poured from her mouth, a wound I couldn’t immediately see. I didn’t know then that Israel had dropped a thermobaric bomb, one that left my daughter’s body perfectly intact on the outside while she bled internally. I was never going to find the cut or stop the bleeding. According to the Israeli occupation forces, it was a “precise, targeted strike.”

I dragged her into the bathtub we used to store water during the war and climbed in with her, submerging us both. I held her cold, unnervingly quiet body. She could no longer scream. I called the U.S. consulate in Jerusalem to tell them an American citizen baby was injured in Gaza. They hung up on me. When I dialed again, thinking we had disconnected, a man with broken Arabic loudly told me the consulate refuses to help because I shouldn’t have been in Gaza. I argued that I am Palestinian and she is my child, but he hung up again. The message was perfectly clear. The U.S. consulate expected me to let my family be murdered. American or not, my baby simply did not count.

Through a lazy, overdue miracle, I evacuated my daughter out of Gaza myself three weeks after the strike. There were no ambulances waiting and no sirens cutting through the heavy noise, only the quiet absence of help as I wrapped my arms around what remained of her fragile strength and carried her forward.

That memory has never faded with time. It clings to me still, like thick smoke lodged deep within my bones, forever binding the weight of that day to the moment when Israel launched its fifth attempt to assassinate Mohammed al-Deif. They missed him entirely, yet in that same strike they did not miss us.

My daughter survived, though her injury stole the first seven years of her childhood in slow, painful increments. Widad Asfura, a twenty-seven-year-old mother, did not survive. Her three-year-old daughter Sarah and her seven-month-old son Ali also did not survive. They were buried together in the rubble and reduced to collateral damage in a war that has never truly counted Palestinian lives as worthy of sparing. In that single airstrike, more than 90 Palestinians were killed and over 300 were injured, many critically.

To the genocidal state of Israel, and to a world that chose to look away, my daughter was no different from the others, just another shadow among the broken concrete, another life not worth the effort to spare.

I used to believe God wouldn’t let a baby die. Then I corrected myself. God didn’t drop the bombs on her. Israel did.

Israel made her bleed. Israel broke her bones. Israel shattered her body from the inside out. And the United States handed them the weapon to kill an American baby.

And it remains the case: I can never tell you everything that happened that day. But I told you what didn’t. We didn’t survive that day. We endured and continue to do so.

Now you are a witness, and I don’t regret telling you any of this, even if you choose to look away.

It’s time for me to call Gaza, so I dial like I’m spinning an old rotary phone, and then I wait to tell my family another lie, and another truth. I’ll lie and say help is coming and that the world didn’t forget about them. And I will honestly tell them there will be a free Palestine soon.

Because I know I’m no longer fearing for Palestine. It’s here to stay.

As for the rest of the world? I’m not so sure.

“Control begins with awareness,” the hypnotist says, and my eyes widen. I’m not asleep yet. It takes three or four episodes before anything clicks, but I want you to understand that awareness becomes control, collective control of our lives.

I go in phases with my insomnia. Sometimes I write, clean, and cook at night like an owl, carried by the silence of the house. Other times I pray and meditate, unsure if anyone is listening, unsure if my mind can be rewired while this genocide continues. It’s the loneliest feeling, though maybe now it has become the least lonely, because Israel has caused this pain to the world collectively. We are all awake in the dark, mourning.

I’m back to sleep hypnosis again. it’s meditation wrapped in a podcast, where the hypnotist finds ways to leave me smirking or rolling my eyes. He talks about recording in Dubai, a white man with a British accent describes Dubai, but never Palestine. They like that contained, gift-wrapped part of the Arab world. Anything rawer, anything closer to the wound, they cannot tolerate mentioning. They live in a bubble. How nice.

They want to believe this Zionist savagery is contained in Gaza. But it is not. It is genocide against Palestinian children. We see it, 24/7 in HD.

Three years later, the UN finally caught up and issued reports admitting that Israel is committing genocide against Palestinian children. A 250% escalation in the West Bank, with one child murdered every two days. One classroom of children slaughtered daily in Gaza. I stopped counting after the second year. You did too, didn’t you?

The report documents the systematic slaughter. Paragraph 354:

And for those who survive, the violence is designed to maim. Paragraph 357:

They are not collateral damage, even though the headlines list them as such. They are being deliberately murdered by the Zionist state. And before I tell you how they were killed, I want you to carry their names long enough to feel what the world refuses to feel. Hold them not as scrolling numbers, but as proof. Pause on the ages stolen, because those ages carry the full weight of what was taken.

Mohammad Ahmad al-Khatib was eight weeks old, nursing in his mother’s arms in a displacement tent in Al-Mawasi, when an airstrike obliterated their shelter. The blast murdered his mother and tore through his body, forcing the amputation of his leg. He is the child the UN describes as a newborn robbed of his mother and his limb, disability is his life sentence before he could walk.

Reem Nabhan was three and her brother Tariq was five when they were killed together in an airstrike. Their grandfather’s grief broke open into a phrase that went viral: “Rouh al Rouh,” soul of my soul. Two souls, deeply loved, erased by the Zionist occupation. He whispered those words over her body, and the world moved on.

Sam Fahd Abu Haikal was seven months old in a car in Hebron when soldiers opened fire, a bullet going through his father’s hand and striking Sam in the face. The Zionist occupation forces claimed the car was a threat. Sam was murdered in the West Bank, and this is why this genocide is not confined to Gaza.

Hind Rajab was six, trapped in a bullet-riddled car after Israeli fire killed her relatives. Terrified, she called the Palestine Red Crescent Society and stayed on the phone as drones and tanks closed in around her. The ambulance was targeted and all six paramedics were killed. When they reached her car, Hind was dead with 335 bullets.

Aser and Aysel Abu Al-Qumsan were three days old when their father stepped out to register their births. While he was gone, an airstrike hit their home, killing his wife, his mother-in-law, and the twins. He returned with their birth certificates to find them annihilated. They were handed death certificates on the same day they were brought into the world.

Amna Ashraf al-Mufti was eleven years old trying to survive with no water and her family trapped near Kamal Adwan Hospital. She fetched water from the courtyard, and leaked video shows her running until a drone missile kills her. She was unarmed and simply trying to survive when she was executed.

Eileen Mohammed Eid had her name written on her cheek, a Palestinian tradition of protecting our children during the genocide. Israeli warplanes bombed her home, and the strike killed her, leaving behind an image of her small face, marked by her name, now lifeless.

Naeem and Wissam Abu Anza were five-month-old twins, a miracle blessing for parents who had spent over a decade trying through IVF to conceive them. They were sleeping in their home in Rafah when an Israeli airstrike hit, killing the twins, their father, and twelve other family members. A mother who waited ten years to hold her babies was left holding their tiny, shrouded bodies.

The nine children of Dr. Alaa and Dr. Hamdi Al-Najjar had a mother who was a pediatrician and a father who was a doctor. While their mother was at work saving lives, an airstrike targeted their home, killing nine of their children: Yahya, Rakan, Ruslan, Gibran, Eve, Rivan, Sedin, Luqman, and Sidra, ranging from six months to twelve years old. The tenth child, Adam, was severely injured, and their father later died from his wounds. A family of healers was decimated.

Saddam Rajab was ten years old and lived in Kafr al-Labad in the occupied West Bank. During an occupation military raid on his town, he stepped outside to make a phone call. CCTV footage captured him being shot in the back by an Israeli soldier. He bled from a stomach wound, fought for his life in a hospital, and then died. A child making a phone call, executed by an occupying army in his own neighborhood.

I could go on. Thousands and thousands more, each murder case documented. A 250 percent increase in the West Bank. A generation of amputees in Gaza. The Lancet estimates over 75,000 Palestinians killed in just the first 16 months. Nearly half of them were children.

The hypnotist tells me to let go, to relax, to drift off. But how do we relax when we are awakened by this genocide, funded and armed by US and EU tax money. Our money.

Control begins with awareness and you have it now. You have read their names, their ages and now the awareness is yours to inform your action, because collective control of our lives starts with refusing to look away.

I have spent years learning how a camera holds what the eye sometimes cannot. In Gaza, it was dust settling on skin after American bombs dropped from Israeli warplanes. In the US, across oceans and borders, I find myself turning the same lens toward another kind of ruin, the places where people seeking life are taken and held unjustly and illegally.

In the so called immigration detention centers of this country, those they call “detainees” arrive carrying their own fragile histories, moms, dads, children fleeing what they could no longer bear, imposed on them by the very same beast that kidnapped them. And in those facilities, many have spoken of another violation added to their journey. They reported vile sexual assault, rape and beatings. Some of the accounts surface years later, some not at all.

Even before the Trump administration started tearing down the law and any shred of humanity left in the US, between 2018 and 2022, records from 129 facilities documented 922 allegations of sexual assault in the custody of ICE. More than one every few days, with a third pointed toward staff. Only a small fraction were ever investigated. Earlier years told similar stories, over a thousand reports received by oversight bodies in just two years, with investigations opened in barely a fraction of them. A recent review of complaints between 2015 and 2021 found 308 cases, more than half against officers and guards who were supposed to keep people safe.

The new fact-check from Factually and another intensively detailed investigation published by Prism, pieced together from peer-reviewed studies, lawsuits, and survivor accounts, confirms what the fragments already suggested.

Reporting and public records put names and voices behind those fragments. At Stewart Detention Center in Georgia women described medical encounters that became assaults, one asylum seeker said a nurse “pressed my hand against his penis” and later felt “immensely invisible,” another recalled a nurse placing a stethoscope on her while making lewd faces and leaving her “frozen.” Just Detention International documented Esmeralda Soto saying the thought of what an immigration officer did to her “makes me nauseous and fills me with fear, disgust and anger” after she was forced to perform oral sex. Court records and reporting about Berks describe a 19‑year‑old Honduran asylum seeker who felt she “wasn’t in a position to say no” when a guard used threats of deportation and promises of favors to coerce her. These accounts, alongside hundreds of complaints in DHS records, lawsuits, and advocacy reports, echo the patterns in other facilities: medical exams and pat‑downs used as cover, grooming with small favors, threats of deportation, blind spots in oversight, and many allegations left redacted or uninvestigated.

Children in ICE custody have been raped and sexually abused by agents and contractors. Court records and reporting document minors sexually assaulted while detained, filings and news coverage tied to family and child care contractors include allegations of children, in some cases as young as five, being abused by staff or contractors, and a Department of Justice investigation and related litigation cited more than 100 documented sexual assaults of children across certain contractor-run facilities.

Few cases reached criminal proceedings or produced convictions, and those that did were rare moments of visibility in a system that shields far more than it punishes. In late 2025 a contract officer, David Courvelle, pleaded guilty to repeated sexual abuse of a Nicaraguan woman at the South Louisiana facility. He had brought her food, small gifts and photos of her daughter, a calculated kindness that can feel like mercy inside a cage until it is not. Other cases surfaced that year: ICE deportation agent Andrew Golobic was sentenced in March 2025 to 12 years for coercing detained women into sex; DHS employee Alexander Steven Back was arrested in November 2025 for soliciting sex from a child; ICE assistant field office director Samuel L. Saxon faced charges of felonious assault and strangulation in December 2025; and Border Patrol agent Bart Conrad Yager was indicted on 24 felony counts, including child sex trafficking. These moments of accountability remain exceptions, not the rule.

I do not write this to reduce lives to cases and numbers. Numbers remain when the full weight of a person’s story cannot be carried by paper. I think of the silences, the fear of speaking and of being disbelieved, or worse, removed before the words can settle. Power isolates the body first, then the voice. I have seen these patterns before, occupation works not only through force but through the slow erosion of dignity, the normalization of what should never be normal.

The system speaks of PREA standards and prevention programs, while contractors point to audits. Yet the ironic gap between those claims and the testimonies that surface remains incredibly wide. Private companies run many of these places by design, so when investigations sometimes fall to the very entities with something to lose, they vanish. The archives grow, but slowly, and always filtered, deliberately denying justice.

Still, there is something persistent in remembering. The US government is accelerating its violence against migrants and racialized communities, skyrocketing forced separations and profiting from a booming industry of detention and surveillance. The US hasn’t slowed its expansion, it has just modernized its reach. But targeted community resistance is successfully fracturing the foundations of this system.

CSI Aviation remains one of the largest contractors for deportation and removal flights, securing hundreds of millions, and in some periods over a billion, in new obligations. CoreCivic and GEO Group continue to dominate private detention, reactivating facilities, converting warehouses, and profiting from per-bed payments as enforcement ramps up. Palantir Technologies deepens its role in data analytics and tracking tools that make these operations possible long before agents reach a doorstep.

Other Fortune 500 and logistics firms, including Amazon, AT&T, FedEx, UPS, and defense contractors like General Dynamics and L3Harris, maintain contracts that keep this vile ecosystem running. Many of these companies are deeply intertwined, As Palantir works with Amazon Web Services for cloud infrastructure, GEO Group subsidiaries handle monitoring tech, and logistics giants like FedEx and UPS often overlap with broader defense and government supply chains.

Some boycotts and sustained protests have produced results. Avelo Airlines ended its ICE deportation flight contract in early 2026 after public campaigns, petitions, and local organizing at key hubs. These victories matter because they show that naming companies, refusing normalization, and applying consistent pressure can make partnerships costly and uncomfortable, even distupt and end it completely in many cases.

Institutional investors and banks financing these firms have also faced scrutiny, with varying degrees of policy shifts and divestment actions.

How Everyday People Can Make a Dent

The system relies on invisibility, it thrives when it moves around like a ghost, it benifts from the darkness and thrives on silence. Naming these contractors repeatedly, and without letting the conversation drift, continues to matter and make an effect that makes the system spend even more funds on propaganda and shutting down. dissent. Boycotting ICE means disrupting the flow of money and legitimacy that sustains it, it works effictively and thats why the powerful and rich want you to belive otherwise.

For the everyday person in the US, real leverage starts small but scales through persistence:

Consumer choices: Cancel Amazon Prime, switch away from AT&T or Verizon where possible, avoid FedEx/UPS for non-essential shipping (use USPS or local alternatives), and steer clear of hotels known to house ICE agents or contractors. Divest from 401(k)s or investment funds holding CoreCivic, GEO Group, or Palantir stock when you have options.

Amplify and organize: Share verified contract details (from USAspending.gov or watchdog reports) on social media, leave informed reviews, and start conversations at work, school, places of worship, or union meetings. Ask institutions you’re connected to like your employer, university, pension fund, or local government, to cut ties or demand transparency.

Target the links: These companies don’t operate in isolation. Pressure parent networks, suppliers, and financiers. Employee petitions, shareholder actions, and local protests at corporate offices or retail locations have already shifted behavior in past campaigns.

Build community power: Support mutual aid networks, know your rights efforts, and sanctuary policies that reduce reliance on the deportation machine altogether.

Pensions, workplace plans, and institutional investments remain key leverage points. Where you have access in tech, logistics, education, faith communities, or local government, ask the direct question: Is this institution enabling ICE, and what can we do to stop it? They can avoid answering but they cant lie and if they do, they’ll only dig their hole deeper. Let the system implode.

Dear reader, silence is still a choice. Money is still leverage. No matter how removed you think you are, no matter how pale your skin might be, they will come for you. The machine does not discriminate when it expands, it only hungers for more.

May the money dry up before another body is taken, and may our refusal be louder than their force.

In Gaza, we learned early how absence acts as violence. But sometimes, before the absence, there is a quiet presence the world never bothered to see.

I first heard about two trans women in Ezbet Abed Rabo, in the northern Gaza Strip, from my mother. She was speaking softly to my aunt, a heavy sorrow in her voice. They had lived for years presenting as men, working hard physical jobs and earning respect for their labor. They helped with the family bayara, where the citrus and olive groves grew near our home. They dressed in long Jalabya and scarfs covering their faces, my mom said they wanted nothing but a quiet life.

I thought that story had vanished into the past. Then, in early 2009, I was walking through the destruction left by the Israeli occupation army. My colleague Yassir pointed to a patch of rubble, “That was their house,” he said. The residents told us the soldiers targeted it first. The two trans sisters were dragged out, taunted, their hijabs ripped from their heads. Their queerness did not protect them. It only made them easier prey. They were left with broken bones and shattered spirits.

I remember the complex grief that followed. Yes, homophobic views existed in many parts of our community, as they do everywhere. But when the occupation brutalized them, denying medical care, blocking hormones, and persecuting them for who they were, a protective sympathy moved through the neighborhood. Their humanity was laid bare by the cruelty of the system meant to erase them.

That is how genocide works, It starts by making people doubt their right to exist, while withdrawing protection and turning a blind eye.

Now, across the ocean, I watch another kind of erasure happen.

This June, Pride did not fill the streets in Tampa, Arlington, or small town Ashtabula, Ohio. The celebrations were paused, and not because the hearts behind them grew cold, but because the ground shifted. Funding dried like water in the sun, while the toxic fear made simply showing up feel like stepping into danger. I recognize this pattern so well, I know disappearance rarely starts with fire. It starts with small rights taken away, spaces quietly locked, and familiar faces made invisible.

In Tampa, new laws empower the governor to remove elected officials who stand with queer organizations. The celebration that once secured over $100,000 in grants received nothing this year. While leadership contracts ended and boards cited the brutal political climate. Tampa Pride is gone for the first time in its history, blocked by measures that penalize local governments for supporting it.

In Arlington, the city suspended LGBTQIA+ protections in its discrimination laws. Organizers could not invite people into a place that refused to protect them. In Ashtabula, a town of fewer than 18,000, Pride once drew thousands and funded scholarships for youth. However this year, volunteers became afraid, sponsors stepped back as corporate DEI programs shuttered and a culture that celebrates hate took control. Tucson dissolved its organization after nearly 50 years. Long Beach canceled at the last minute over so called “safety issues.”

This is the slow making of a community less seen, less safe, and less possible in public view.

As a Palestinian who has seen this kind of disappearance, the pattern brings a familiar, bone deep ache. The Lemkin Institute for Genocide Prevention recently warned that the United States is in the early stages of a genocidal process against trans people. It does not always look like mass killing, sometimes it looks like deliberate erosion, when laws denying care, rhetoric painting trans people as a threat, and policies making ordinary life impossible. The goal is to remove trans people not just from parades, but from public life, and eventually from existence itself.

These canceled Prides are visible absences in that wider pattern of early-stage genocide.

The echoes reach elsewhere too. In parts of Britain, councils have cut Pride funding, calling such events unfit for public money. Britain’s Black Pride paused its large-scale festival this year. In countries with harsh criminalization, open gatherings have long been driven underground. These are symptoms of the same machinery.

Do not become comfortable in the shrinking spaces that remain. We know very well that the comfort of past years has already faded.

As someone who has rebuilt cameras from broken parts and documented life between explosions, I believe in endurance. Erasure works by making people doubt their right to exist publicly. But those pushed to the margins carry memory in their bodies. We document and sometimes gather in smaller circles. We teach the young ones their names and their stories.

We are seeing the same system that enabled Gaza’s genocide, testing how much absence societies will accept before it becomes irreversible. The parades and festivals that do not happen leave a silence, listen to it.

The “Epstein Class” is not just one man or a single scandal. It is a ruling elite. It is a gilded network of billionaires, oligarchs, arms dealers, tech tycoons, and political influencers who operate above the law. They move between private islands, elite circles, intelligence agencies, and global power centers. They traffic in impunity through financial crimes, sexual exploitation, or war profiteering. Their power depends on permanent conflict, endless profit, and the suppression of anyone who threatens to expose their machinery.

Francesca Albanese has become a direct threat to this class. By meticulously documenting how corporations and elites are profiting from Israel’s system of apartheid, ethnic cleansing, and what she called an “economy of genocide,” she is pulling back the curtain on their lucrative arrangements. That is why they want her silenced through sanctions, smears, travel bans, and frozen assets.

Francesca Albanese’s Exposé: The Corporate Profiteers

In her landmark July 2025 report From Economy of Occupation to Economy of Genocide, Albanese mapped how a vast network of companies has transformed Israel’s illegal occupation into a highly profitable enterprise. She identified dozens of major corporations, with a supporting database of over 1,000 entities, deeply embedded in sustaining apartheid and the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

Among the key companies she highlighted are major technology and surveillance giants providing AI targeting, cloud infrastructure, and biometric systems used in military operations, including Microsoft, Alphabet (Google), Amazon, Palantir Technologies, IBM, Hewlett Packard (HP), and Meta. In the arms and defense sector, she named contractors supplying weapons, drones, fighter jets, and munitions such as Lockheed Martin, RTX (Raytheon), Boeing, Elbit Systems, Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), and Leonardo. For construction and heavy machinery used in settlement expansion, home demolitions, and infrastructure of displacement, the report points to Caterpillar, Volvo Group, and HD Hyundai. Financial institutions financing Israeli bonds, banks, and the occupation economy include BlackRock, Barclays, and BNP Paribas. Other notable sectors involve tourism and real estate companies like Airbnb and Booking Holdings that profit from illegal settlements, along with various energy and logistics firms enabling the blockade and military sustainment.

Albanese has been clear: “For some, genocide is profitable.” While Gaza was devastated, the Tel Aviv stock exchange soared, and these corporations reaped massive gains.

The Broader Epstein-Class Network

Beyond the listed companies, this class includes billionaires and oligarchs who fund pro-Israel lobbying efforts, political campaigns, and media influence operations designed to shield Israel from accountability. Many of them overlap with circles that have faced scrutiny for elite-level exploitation and protection networks. They view Albanese’s work and the broader movement for Palestinian rights as an existential threat to their system of power, profit, and impunity.

This is why sanctions were imposed on her so quickly after her corporate complicity report. It was never really about “terrorism.” It was about protecting an economy built on occupation and endless war.

The message they are sending is simple, expose our profits, name our companies, and we will try to destroy you. But they keep miscalculating. The more they attack her, the clearer it becomes who they really are.
